It’s been a really interesting spring for my son Aaron, a High School senior pondering his college plans.
Since middle school, he’s been passionate about engineering in a variety of forms, particularly mechanical and aerospace. He’s excelled at math and physics, and he’s sure (at this point) that he wants to pursue engineering in college and beyond.
Aaron was accepted into several schools, including Purdue, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Embry-Riddle, University of Cincinnati, and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, one of the top undergraduate engineering schools in the country.
Last week, we made the trip to Rose-Hulman, where Aaron toured the campus, learned of the concentration in Aerospace engineering, and even talked a bit about technical communication. Despite wanting to go to Purdue for the last couple of years, it looks like Aaron’s made his decision—Rose-Hulman it is!
Obviously, I’m a very proud dad!
